The library System Automation of KUET and Digital Library Access Centre were inaugurated at Khulna University of Enginering & Technology (KUET) on Thursday, June 28, 2012. KUET vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir formally inaugurated these at around 10:30 am on Thursday. Sub-project Manager of Library system automation of KUET, also Head of Computer Science and Engineering Department Prof Dr. K M Azharul Hasan presided over the inaugural ceremony. Dean of Mechanical Engineering Faculty Prof. Dr A N M Mizanur Rahaman, Dean of Civil Engineering Faculty Prof. Dr. Bazlar Rahman, Dean of Electronic Engineering Faculty Prof. Dr Ashraful Gani Bhuyan were present as the special guests. KUET is the only public university, in which the central library entered the full automation system. This automation was done as a part of AIF project of Higher Education Quality Enhancement project (HEQEP) under the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC). Vice-chancellor Prof. Alamgir said that with completion this project KUET moves another step forward to achieve its goals and to build Digital Bangladesh. Directors, heads of all departments, section heads, teachers, officers and staff of KUET were present in the occasion.
