Two 60KVA Generators were installed and thus opened on July 22, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. for the supply of required power in case of shortage of electricity for uninterrupted functions of internet service, laboratories, experiment, classes and research works at different Departments and Administrative section in Khulna University of Engineering and Technology. VC of KUET Prof. Alamgir inaugurated the generator in a simple ceremony as the Chief Guest. Deans, Departmental Heads, Directors, Dr. Muhammad Aminul Haque Akhand, the Sub-Project Manager of “Integrated automation of KUET” and other teachers and officers were present in the ceremony. The generators were bought under this project funded by UGC through Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP). In a short speech, Prof. Alamgir expressed that the inclusion of these powerful generators at KUET Campus will certainly ensure the better power supply for uninterrupted Internet Service as well as research and academic activities.
