The 37th Martyrdom Anniversary of Father of Nation Bangabandhu Shiekh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day was observed in KUET on 15 August 2012 with due respect and solemnity. To observe the day the university authority, chalked out elaborate programmes include hoisting the national flag at half mast and the black flag and at the different building of campus, discussion, Milad Mahfil. In a speech in the discussion meeting organized by the employees of KUET, the Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Alamgir said we should work hard and be united to build a happy, prosperous, educated, democratic and secular Bangladesh to fulfill the dreams of Bangabandhu who sacrificed his entire life for the people of this country. This discussion meeting was after the Milad Mahfil held in the central mosque of KUET. The discussion was followed by Iftar. Since the university is on vacation, the main discussion meeting will be held on next 29th August Wednesday at 5:15PM at the University Auditorium.
