A Press Conference following the upcoming 2nd Convocation 2012 was held at KUET on December 6, 2012 at the conference room of the University Administrative Building. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir addressed written speech in the Press Conference. The Convocation will be held on December 8, Saturday at the central playground of the University campus. The Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, MP as a nominated representative of the Hon’ble President of People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Chancellor of this University will Preside over the Convocation. Professor Emeritus of Chittagong University Dr. Jamal Nazrul Islam will address as the Convocation Speaker. In this occasion the degree will be awarded to the total 2555 graduates out of which 2441 B.Sc. Engr., 39 M. Phill, 69 M.Sc. Engr. and 06 Ph. D. On the eve of the 2nd Convocation, the university has been tastefully decorated and security beefed up. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Alamgir sought cooperation of all Journalists, Teachers, Officials, students and staffs of KUET and others to make the Convocation a grand success. Prof. Dr. Md. Bazlar Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Prof. Dr. A. N. M. Mizanur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Keramat Ali Mollah, Director (IICT), Md.
