On 17 February 2013, at 10 a.m. in front of the Auditorium of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir hoist the national flag and same time students, teachers, officers and staff of KUET perform national anthem to express their solidarity with the Shahbagh protesters who urged the authorities of all educational institutions across the country to perform it. Students, teachers, officers and staff of KUET expressed their solidarity with the demand of speedy trial and capital punishment of all war criminals. In a short speech Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir deeply mourned over the death of blogger Rajib Hyder Shovon with hatred and saluted him as the ‘First Shaheed’ of the new generation freedom fighters.
