On April 30, 2015, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, VC of KUET, inaugurates the construction works of the Urban and Regional Planning (URP) Building alongside the new academic building at KUET premises. At this simple foundation-stone laying ceremony, in a short speech, he says that after completion of the building academic activities can be held here smoothly. He also mentioned that with the start of this construction works, a long desire of the KUET gets into right shape. Right on the spots he directed the contractor, engineers and other relevant person to do everything to ensure better construction & timely completion of the project. Prof. Dr. Shibendra Shekher Sikder, Director (Planning & Development), Chief Engineer A B M Mamunur Rashid, Executive Engineer Dr. Md. Julfikar Hossain spoke on the occasion. Later, a doa-mahfil was also held for the successful completion of the building. Faculty Dean, Departmental Head, Registrar, Teachers, Section Heads, Officers and employees of KUET were present at this program.
