May 08, 2011, a discussion was held in KUET on war crimes held in Bangladesh in 1971 during the liberation war and to go back to the main constitution of the country established in 1972. In the event, Shahriar Kabir, the noted writes cum journalist and acting chairman of Gatak Dalal Nirmul Committee presented the Keynote Paper, while Prof. Alamgir, the Vice-Chancellor of KUET was present as the Chief Guest. In the meeting, Dr. Sk. Baharul Alam, Freedom Fighter Sk. Abdul Qaiyum were present as the special Guests.The meeting was presided over by Prof. Dr. S.S. Sikder, the Director of Students’ Welfare. Mr. Shariar Kabir recalled the historical achievement of Bengali Nation and it final stage, the independence of Bangladesh under the heroic and unique leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The speakers including the students demanded the immediate trial of the War Crimes took place in Bangladesh by the collaborators during in 1971 and the restoration of Main Constitution of the Country to make a Bangladesh a true democratic and pro-people country.
