Inter University Tech Fiesta 2016 held successfully at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) on 22-23 January 2016. The festival took place at the University Auditorium organized by the department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) of KUET. Vice-Chancellor of KUET inaugurated the festival as the Chief Guest by releasing a handful colored balloons in front of the auditorium at 9:00 a.m on January 22. Later, all guests, participants and teachers, students, officers, employees of KUET brought out a colorful rally that was paraded the whole varsity campus led by the VC of KUET.

More than 400 students from country’s 30 universities participated in the festival. Dual of Robot, IT-Sudoku, Rubik’s Cube Challenge, Seminar were held at the 1st Day and Poster & Hardware Exhibition, Software Exhibition, Duel of Robot, Speaker Session, Cultural Fest were held at the 2nd day of the festival.

KUET in the event of Project Idea, Software & Poster Exhibition, Metropolitan University in the event of Dual of Robot, AUST in the event of Project Show has been awarded as the Champion. Moreover, In the event of IT Quiz contest and IT- Sudoku, respectively Shah Mohammed Tonmoy and Mohammed Abdul Hai of KUET has been awarded as the Champion. In the event of Rubik’s Cube Challenge, S M Foisal of Khulna Public College have been awarded as the Champion.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir distributed prizes among the winners as the Chief Guest at the prize giving ceremony of the festival held on 23 January at 4:30 p.m. Dean, Faculty of EEE Prof. Dr. Osman Goni, Editor (Sports) of Prothom Alo Utpol Suvro, Secratray of Bangladesh Mathematics Olympied Munir Hasan, Deputy Manager of Energy Pac (Khulna Region) S.M Mostafizur Rahman were present as the special guests. Head of EEE Department Prof. Dr. Ashraful Ghani Bhuiyan Presided over the ceremony.

The speakers of the festival closing ceremony hopefully expected that this festival will help the participants to complete with the technical world. On this national program participants can share and develop their ideas. A national wide recognition will be provided and projects of standard quality will have the opportunity to share in marketing sectors. All the participants expressed their desire to convert this event into international one in the future.
