A tea party arranged by the administration of KUET for the retirement of Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department Dr. Md. Syed Ali Molla on February 15, 2016 at 3 pm. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir presided over the function. Faculty deans, directors, departmental heads, provosts and assistant provosts of the hall, registrar and other high official of KUET attended the function. In the meantime, a crest handed over to the departing Prof. Dr. Md. Syed Ali Mollah and adorned him a sash (uttoriyo) by VC of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir.

Later, a farewell ceremony also arranged by the mechanical engineering Faculty at 11 pm on 16 February. VC of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir present as the chief guest while Head of Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Md. Nawsher Ali Moral presided over the function. Dean of Mechanical Engineering Faculty Prof. Dr. Tarapada Bhowmick present as the Special Guest at the ceremony.

Moreover, in the auditorium on 16 February, 2016 at 4 pm Mechanical Engineering Association, also arranged a farewell ceremony for the Prof. Dr. Md. Syed Ali Molla. VC of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir present as the chief guest while President of Mechanical Engineering Association Prof. Dr. Khandkar Aftab Hossain in a chair. Dean of mechanical engineering faculty Prof. Dr. Tarapada Bhowmick present as the Special Guest at the ceremony. In the meantime, a crest, bunch of flower and some special gifts handed over to the departing Prof. Dr. Md. Syed Ali Molla by the Guests and students of mechanical engineering department.
