On , 31 October, 2016, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, VC of KUET, inaugurates the construction works of the Shaheed Minar alongside the play ground at KUET premises. At this simple foundation-stone laying ceremony, in a short speech, he says that with the start of this works, a long desire of the KUET gets into right shape. Right on the spots he directed the contractor, engineers and other relevant person to do everything to ensure better construction & timely completion of the project. Prof. Dr. Shibendra Shekher Sikder, Director (Planning & Development), A B M Mamunur Rashid, Chief Engineer spoke on the occasion. Later, a doa-mahfil was also held for the successful completion of the work. Faculty Dean, Departmental Head, Registrar, Teachers, Section Heads, Officers and employees of KUET were present at this program.
