  • The Orientation Program of newly admitted 1st year Bsc Eng, BURP & BArch students of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology for the Session of 2016-2017 held on February 16, 2017 at the KUET Auditorium. The students and their guardians were informed about the Academic procedures, rules and regulations including registration, examination systems, other academic matters, disciplines and co-curricular activities..

    The Honb’le Chairman of UGC Prof. Abdul Mannan was present in the orientation ceremony as the Chief Guest. He highlighted the importance of the best use of knowledge may overcome all obstacles even though we have much limitations of infrastructure and other recourses. The Chief Guest also underscored the need for quality education at the University of Bangladesh. He hoped that KUET will provide quality education to the students despite the existing constraints so that they will be successful at their professional life. He also emphasized the seriousness and discipline of the students while they will be at KUET. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir was presided over the function.

    Newly admitted students of undergraduate course for the Session 2016-2017 were also introduced in the program by the respective Faculty Deans. Prof. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder, Dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rafiq, Dean of Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md. Mahbub Alom, Dean of Faculty of Civil Engineering and Director (Students’ Welfare) Prof. Dr. Sobahan Mia spoke particularly on the rules and regulations matter. Mr. G M Shahidul Alam, Registrar (In-Charge) also given the welcome speech. Institute Directors, Heads, Directors, Members of Academic Council, Provosts, High Officials, fresh students & their parents, guardians were present in the program.
