The Vice-Chancellor of KUET and the Professor of Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Muhammed Alamgir attended the 7th IconSWM 2017 -7th International Conference on Solid Waste Management at Hyderabad, India, during the period of 13 to 17 December, 2017. During this period, Prof. Alamgir attended a bilateral scientific collaboration dialogue with the Scientists and Researchers on 13th December. On 14th December, he also took part in the core committee meeting to fix-up the various aspects of the conference including future prospects as the Vice-Chairman and International Scientific Committee Member of this Conference. Professor Alamgir delivered oral presentation of 2 technical papers on 15th and 16th December entitled as “Characterization of Essential Oil Extracted from a Kitchen Waste: Lemon Peel(by: R. Sarder and M. Alamgir)” and “Experimental Study on the Use of Co-Compost in Agriculture(by:S. Saha and M. Alamgir)”, respectively. He also chaired the Technical Session on 16th December entitled as “Biogas and Bio-methanation”. Prof. Alamgir also participated in a joint meeting of 21 experts from 15 countries chaired by Prof. SK Ghosh, the conference Chair in the evening of 16th December.
