Seminar on "Seismology and Earthquake effects to Structures" held at KUET on 18 January, 2018 at the Seminar room of CE Department. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir was present as the Chief Guest. Head of CE Department Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahjahan Ali, Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain, Teacher and Student of CE Department were present in the seminar. Akhtar Mohammed Zaman, Senior Structural Engineer, STANTEC Consulting Ltd. was the key note speaker in the seminar. The objectives of the seminar to understand why earthquake happen, how to measure, effect of earthquake to the structures, use of earthquake data to analyze and design of safe structures.
