Construction of the horizontal extension of Khan Jahan Ali Hall of KUET has been inaugurated in the hall premises on 18 December 2019 at 10:30 am. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain inaugurated the extension work of Khan Jahan Ali Hall by laying the foundation stone. Honorable Vice-Chancellor spoke on the function as a chief guest. In his speech, he thanked and expressed his indebtedness to Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina MP for sanctioning a mega project to KUET for the expansion and development of infrastructures in KUET. He also expects cooperation and wholehearted support from everyone of this university to complete the project on time.

Shahriar Maswood; Chief Engineer, A. B. M. Mamunur Rashid; Student of Khan Jahan Ali Hall, Walid Bin Rahman, among others, spoke at the inaugural ceremony. Teachers, Officers, Staffs and Students of KUET attended the ceremony.
