Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) celebrated the "Saraswati Puja", one of the religious festivals of the Sonatoni Hindu Community on 26 January 2023, with traditional gaiety, religious fervor and spirit of pursuit of art and knowledge which Goddess, Saraswati Devi provides. The Hindus worship Devi Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge, Music, Art and Culture, on the Shukla Panchami day of Bangali month of Magh, with pomp every year mostly in educational institutions. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Prof. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder , Former Vice-Chancellor of North Western University Prof. Dr.Tarapada Bhowmick, Director (R&E) Prof. Dr. Shibendra Shekher Shikder, Head of ECE Department Prof. Dr. Pallab Kumar Choudhury, Professor of CSE Department Prof. Dr. Pintu Chandra Shill, Deputy Director (Students’ Welfare) Dr. Dipayan Mondal, President of Puja Udjapon Committee of KUET Dr. Sujit Kumer Shil, Teachers, Officers, Staffs and Students were present during the festival.
