Course Conduction

ECE 1205: Science of Engineering Materials

This course is a major for ECE students and is important for laying the fundamental grounds in the field of electronics and solid-state physics. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles governing the behavior of materials at the atomic and molecular levels. The course covers major areas of Crystallization, Crystal defects, Thermal properties of solids, Electrical characteristics of materials, Fundamentals of semiconductor materials, Magnetic properties of materials, superconductivity and Optical properties that demonstrate light interaction with matter.

EEE 3231: Network and Communication Systems

This course offers a comprehensive exploration of modern networking principles, communication systems, and their integration into distributed robotics. Students will gain in-depth knowledge of protocol hierarchies, data link control, LAN protocols, IEEE standards, and network hardware. They will also delve into wireless technologies, including PAN, GSM, WAP, and WAN, along with wireless sensor networks and security measures. The course covers communication system essentials, topologies, OSI model, interfaces, and fundamentals on advanced topics like remote sensing, cellular systems, and optical communication. Additionally, students will learn about communication protocols for distributed robotics, including peer-to-peer setups, Zigbee networks, and Ambient Intelligence, equipping them for the evolving technological landscape.

ECE 3204: Digital Signal Processing Lab.

This course is designed to develop skills in digital signal processing, digital filters and system design, analysis and implementation to understand the theories and apply the knowledge in future courses and industry.
