On 22 November 2016, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir,Vice-Chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) Deliver a Special Talk on "Solid Waste Management and Resource Recovery in Bangladesh" at the invitation of Dr. Pratap Kumar Padhy, Head of Department of Environmental Studies, Visva-Bhatrati University, Santiniketan, West Bengal, India.

Post-graduate Students and Teachers from the Department of Environmental studies, Biotechnology and Integrated Science & Research Center (ISERC) were present at the program. After the presentation, a discussion meeting was held and it is agreed that bi-lateral cooperation in education, research and faculty exchange will take place in future.
